In either case, they may still be able to accommodate extra towel bars if you have the right kind of hardware (such as friction mounts). If you don’t have any pre-drilled holes and are unable to find friction mounts for your model of shower door, then adding new bars will likely require drilling new holes in the glass – which may not be possible without compromising the integrity of the seal around your current doors.)

Remove the screw from the center of the towel bar using the Phillips screwdriver. Once this is done, slide the towel bar off of its track and remove it from your shower door.
The next step is to install your new towel bar. The first thing you should do is add an adhesive to the back of your new towel bar so that it will stick firmly in place.
Next, slide your new towel bar onto its track and tighten down the screws with a Phillips screwdriver until they are snug but not overly tightened. You want there to be some give in these screws so they don’t crack or break easily when you are using them on a daily basis.
