I have always wanted to have a pet door installed but, alas, I live in an apartment building and so that wasn’t going to happen — at least not until I bought my own townhouse!

Step 1 – Measure and Cut the Hole
Measure your dog’s head and neck widths, as well as his shoulders and hips. The larger the measurements are, the larger the hole you’ll need in the wall. You can also add 2 inches to each measurement to allow extra room for insulation and weather stripping around the edges of the flap.
