The ikea kallax is a great storage unit, but it only comes with two doors. Some people want more doors, so they can display their stuff better.

This is an easy mod to add additional doors to your ikeakallax unit. It will take about 30 minutes and cost under $10.

The basic idea is that you cut the shelf into three pieces: one piece for each side and one piece for the middle. Then you cut holes in those pieces for the glass inserts to fit through (you can also just glue them in place). Finally, you attach the sides to the middle and voila! You have yourself a custom-made door for your ikeakallax unit!

The IKEA Kallax unit is one of my favorite pieces of furniture. It’s a great size, has lots of storage, and can be used in so many different ways. One of my favorite ways to use it is as an entertainment center! In this video I’ll show you how to turn your IKEA Kallax shelf into a custom built-in entertainment center!

The first thing you’ll need to do is get some legs for your shelf. I got mine from Amazon but you can get them just about anywhere. These are the ones I got: http://a.co/7Vn6UdD; They are adjustable so they fit any height!

Next you’ll need to measure and cut your plywood to fit inside the box. For this entire project we will only be using one sheet of plywood because we are going to create two doors that slide out from each side of the unit. The doors will take up one panel each but there will still be plenty of room for storage on top!

Once you have all your pieces cut out, it’s time for assembly! First attach your legs using screws or bolts (depending on what type

The Kallax is such a versatile piece of furniture, it can be used as a bookshelf, desk or even a small table. I love the idea of using it as an entertainment center for my TV and game consoles but I wanted something with more storage space for all of my games and DVDs. The solution was to use the glass doors from another cheap shelf from IKEA and hack them into the bottom drawer. This will give you 4 additional drawers that can be used for anything from movies and games to toys and craft supplies!

Ikea Kallax Hack can be a great addition to your home, whether for entertaining or displaying your favourite items. It’s not just the Kallax that can be hacked though. The legs are also easy to transform with a little bit of paint and creativity.

The Kallax has doors on three sides; the fourth is open and perfect for displaying items like photos and artwork. I love the look of this cabinet but I don’t love how it looks when you open the doors – there are no shelves or dividers inside so everything just falls out! If you can live with this then there’s nothing stopping you from using it as a display cabinet but if not, here’s an easy hack to make it more functional…

This hack requires just two pieces of wood that fit across the top of your Kallax (or any other solid base unit), and some hinges so they can close again when not in use. You could even get creative with these by adding knobs or handles if you wanted them to look more decorative than functional!

I have a large Kallax shelf and I wanted to create a glass door for it. The problem is that the Kallax is not the same size as a normal door. I decided to use some of my leftover plywood from my previous project and built legs for the unit.

The legs are made of 1/4 inch plywood and they are attached using some screws with washers on both sides. I also added a small piece of wood underneath to make sure that the screws don’t go through the bottom of the shelf.

I used some leftover paint from my other project (I’m trying to use up all of my leftover paint supplies before moving), but you can use any color or finish you want – just make sure that the paint is smooth so that it doesn’t scratch easily.

When buying hinges, make sure that they work with your desired thickness (1/4 inch) and make sure that they can be used on glass doors – most hinges aren’t made for glass doors, but you can find ones that do work with them online. It’s also important to buy hinges with screws long enough so that they reach through both layers of plywood into the
