Cost to build 400 meter track

Track and field is a sport which includes athletic contests established on the skills of running, jumping, and throwing. The name is derived from the sport’s typical venue: a stadium with an oval running track enclosing a grass field where the throwing and jumping events take place. Track and field is categorized under the umbrella sport of athletics, which also includes road running, cross country running, and race walking.

The foot racing events, which include sprints, middle- and long-distance events, race walking and hurdling, are won by the athlete with the fastest time. The jumping and throwing events are won by the athlete who achieves greater distance or height. Regular jumping events include long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vaulting (over a bar), javelin throw (an ancient form of spear throwing),[1] discus throw (throwing a heavy disc) and hammer throw (throwing a heavy metal ball attached to a wire). In these disciplines the winner is the one who achieves greater distance or height.[2]

Cost to build 400 meter track

This is a very popular question. The cost to build a 400m track depends on the materials you use and the quality of construction.

We have built many 400m tracks from basic to custom designs. We have also done many different types of construction, from poured in place concrete to interlocking rubber flooring for indoor tracks.

The basic materials for a 400m track are as follows:

Concrete foundation – $500 to $1,000 per meter of track (depending on subgrade conditions)

Interior concrete walls – $20 per meter of wall (can be less if you don’t want them finished)

Outdoor rubber flooring – $10 per square meter (for outdoor tracks) or $15 per square meter (for indoor tracks)

The cost of labor varies greatly depending on your location and labor costs. However, we generally find that it costs about $400 per hour for two people working together. We’ve installed hundreds of meters of track in different locations around the country and have found this to be an average rate. So assuming that you’re willing to do some of the work yourself and hire help when needed, here’s what we think would happen:

400 meters at 10 hours each = 4 days
