Doors can often times be seen as a main entrance point to a building or home. While they don’t play a part in the overall beauty of a building, they do help to prevent unauthorized entry and provided the structure is sound and properly maintained, do their job quite well. In essence, we sometimes take things like doors for granted. It’s also very easy to overlook doors when writing advertising copy.

Like a lot of people, we were looking for a better way to make doors. We learned that most people are happy with the same old boring doors that you find at home depot or lowes. But if you want something unique and different it can be hard to find. So we started thinking about our own door project and how we could make it work in our house.
We knew that we wanted something like this but with a groove in the door frame so it looked like it had been there forever. We also wanted to have some sort of design on the door itself which is why we went with an arched top instead of just another flat rectangle door.
The next step was to figure out what kind of wood would look good and fit in with our existing decor (all white). We decided on cherry because it has a deep red tone that looks great against white trim but also works well with other colors too like black or browns.
Once we had the wood picked out, we needed to figure out how we were going to get this thing cut without spending too much money and still make sure everything fit together properly. We decided on using two 2x4s for each side instead of one 4×8 piece because it would be cheaper and easier
